Peace of mind, built in.
Choosing hiring technology is a big decision. Your candidates' data, your reputation and your legal exposure all depend on it. Our place in ARTP means you don't have to take our word for it: we are accountable to the industry body that sets the bar for hiring technology in the UK.
Held to a national standard
ARTP's Recruitment Technology Standard is the UK's first. Ethical AI, inclusive hiring, data security and transparency: Lumi is built on the same principles it sets out.
Trusted by the industry
We sit on the council of the UK's trade body for hiring technology, chosen to help lead its decisions alongside the biggest names in recruitment.
Close to the regulators
ARTP works with the Home Office, the DBS, DSIT and the ICO. We are part of those conversations, so changes reach us early and Lumi is ready before they reach you.
Fairness you can prove
Every assessment is explainable, bias checking is on by default, and your people make the final call. If anyone asks how a decision was made, you can show them.
The UK's voice for hiring technology.
The Association of RecTech Providers (ARTP) is the UK's first trade association for hiring technology, part of the Better Hiring Institute. It brings together the providers behind the UK's background screening, identity checks, assessment and applicant tracking to champion faster, fairer and safer hiring.
Members agree shared standards and work directly with government and regulators on the rules hiring technology has to follow. The association is chaired by Christopher Platts, within the Better Hiring Institute chaired by Keith Rosser.

A new vision for UK hiring.
On 24 September 2026, ARTP's Annual Parliamentary Event, "A New Vision for UK Hiring", took place in the Churchill Room at the House of Commons. Organised alongside the Better Hiring Institute, it brought recruitment technology businesses, policymakers and parliamentarians together to shape the future of recruitment innovation, safety and standards in the UK.
The UK's first RecTech Standard.
At the event, ARTP launched the UK's first national Recruitment Technology Standard, announced by Lord Ranger of Northwood of the House of Lords Science and Technology Committee. It sets out what fair and safe hiring technology looks like, for providers whose systems handle more than 200 million job applications every year. Lumi is built on the same four principles.
Ethical AI
AI should enhance human decision-making in hiring, not replace it.
Inclusive hiring
Technology that opens doors for every candidate, rather than quietly closing them.
Data security
Candidate data protected properly, including against cyber-attacks.
Transparency
Hiring tools that are open about how they work and accountable for their results.
Founding member. Council member.
We joined ARTP at the start because we believe hiring technology should earn trust, not assume it. Today we sit on its council, helping lead the decisions that set the direction for the whole industry. The people building Lumi are in the room where the rules for hiring technology are written.

Where the work happens.
ARTP's work is organised into five workstreams, each tackling a part of hiring that affects every employer and every candidate in the UK. As a council member, we help steer all of them.
The five workstreams
- 01
Standards. Building a consistent baseline for the whole sector, so employers know what good hiring technology looks like.
- 02
Right to work. Modernising right to work checks that are still too often done by hand.
- 03
Criminal background checks. Modernising criminal record checking and making it safer for employers and candidates.
- 04
Digital identity. Supporting the adoption of digital identity and secure sharing of candidate data.
- 05
Digital wallets and credentials. Defining what a digital wallet needs for recruitment, so candidates can prove things once instead of every time they apply.

See it on a real role. Then decide.
Book a walkthrough and we'll run Lumi on one of your live vacancies, on your own data. A ranked shortlist with full reasoning, bias checks, and written feedback for every applicant. You see exactly what it does, then your team decides, every time.
